Juniors are in full Lord of the Flies mode this week. 🏝️🔥 They were placed into random teams and challenged to design and build miniature survival shelters, using only what they can problem-solve and create together. It’s been a fun mix of creativity, trial-and-error, and real teamwork. Each student will write a reflection paper that includes: • a clear, step-by-step procedure • how teamwork, leadership, and communication affected the outcome, • and how it connects to conflict and survival in Lord of the Flies.

High School Students of the Week! Congratulations to Brody Belt and Stone Force! Brody was nominated by Mr. Stoneburner for his consistent effort, preparedness, and positive attitude in American History. He actively participates in discussions, demonstrates a strong understanding of recent topics, and contributes respectfully to group activities. Stone was also nominated by Mr. Stoneburner for always having a smile on his face and willing to help out around the school. Stone is polite and courteous to students and staff, and is a great example to all other students. #WeAreNS #IAmARaider

North Shelby Tournament Weather Updated Schedule

MACTEC has been cancelled for tomorrow, January 23rd. MACTEC students need to report to NS by start of 3rd block.

The WGEM Academic Challenge for Scholar Bowl scheduled for tomorrow has been rescheduled to next Friday, January 30th.

The Scholar Bowl Tournament at Schuyler County scheduled for Saturday, January 24th, has been cancelled.

AR All Stars! ⭐️ Each quarter, students take the STAR test which then sets an individual book report points goal for them. We are so proud of these students who achieved 150% or higher of their goal: Wesley Andrews, Ellie Christine, Brooklyn Culler, Einsten Luis Sales, Alice Yoder, Gwyneth Yoder, Lea Chinn, Jaylinn Coats, Jessa Daniel, Greyson Gaines, Kellyn Hinshaw, Alicyn Parshall, Chase Perrigo, Elaina Hunolt, Maren Yoder, Hayden Baker, Claudia Parshall, Clara Uhlmeyer, Dom Williams, Rayna Allen, Aiden Bertoni, Aubri Luckett, and Ally Rich.
Brooklyn Culler made 602% of her goal. Alice Yoder made 522% of her goal. Ellie Christine made 301% of her goal. All others made between 150% and 299% of their goals.

North Shelby will be hosting Preschool and Kindergarten screenings March 9th and 10th.

High School Students of the Week! Congratulations to Isabell Jones and Zaelyn Gander! Isabell was nominated by Mr. Bichsel for always being willing to do whatever is needed to help her A+ students. She is not afraid to jump in and handle situations with students no matter the subject. Zaelyn was nominated by Mrs. Cook for giving a tour and making a new student feel welcomed to our school. She did a great job of being kind and showing the new student which classrooms she would be in. Then she took the new student to the library and helped her with the book check out process. #WeAreNS #IAmARaider
