We are grateful to the NS administration and School Board for the opportunity to experience the museum first hand. #WeAreNS #IAmARaider

Educators of the Month!

Congratulations to Mrs. Kerri Greenwell and Mrs. Cadie Echternacht!

Mrs. Greenwell was nominated by Owen Caldwell for brightening every room she walks in and makes an effort to make sure everyone understands. Mr. Daniel adds that Mrs. Greenwell has been a tremendous addition to our staff this year in the English department. Her willingness to take on new things and push students to succeed has been very evident this year.

Mrs. Echternacht was nominated by Mrs. Minear for her ability to wear so many hats each day and do an excellent job in every one of them. She continually goes above and beyond her job description and what is expected of her as a para. She is always willing to step in, lend a hand, and support others (both teachers and students) however she can. Her willingness to help wherever there is a need is what brought her to my classroom in the afternoons, and she has made a meaningful difference ever since. Her kindness, flexibility, and dedication do not go unnoticed!

Jay was also nominated by Mrs. Jackson for always being willing to help out when asked. He is unfailingly polite and respectful!

Today some of Mrs. Greenwell’s and Ms. Harvey’s students had the opportunity to step outside the classroom and experience a piece of Missouri history with a field trip to the Missouri State Penitentiary. The tour gave them a fascinating look at one of the oldest prisons west of the Mississippi and sparked great conversations about the past, the justice system, and the stories behind the walls. A big thank you to the adults who helped make the day possible, including our bus driver, Greg Linberger, our school resource officer, Officer Caleb Barton, and Ashley Dunn for taking the time to accompany and support our students.
