High School Students of the Week!
Congratulations to Sophia Luckett and Kinsley Hinshaw!
Sophia was nominated by Ms. Penn for going out of her way to make sure all members are included and their ideas were heard during a class meeting about Prom. She is always a kind and respectful classmate! Kinsley was nominated by Mrs. Smith for showing dedication as a student. After an extended absence, she put in time after school hours to get caught up and is always willing to do extra work if need be. Kinsley has a great work ethic that will serve her well in the future.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
North Shelby will begin offering a full-day PreK program starting in the 2026–2027 school year. We are excited to expand this opportunity for the families in our community and look forward to welcoming our youngest learners.
Please note that transportation to and from school will remain the responsibility of parents/guardians. PreK students may arrive at 7:50 a.m., along with other students. Breakfast and lunch will be provided through our regular school meal program. The instructional day will begin at 8:20 a.m. and conclude at 3:10 p.m. Students should be picked up at 3:10 p.m. during elementary car rider dismissal.
Mrs. Hardy plans to structure the day with a more academically focused schedule in the morning, followed by rest/nap time, snack, and social play experiences in the afternoon to support students’ developmental needs.
Because PreK attendance is not mandatory, families who need to pick up their child early may do so through the elementary office.
We look forward to providing this valuable experience for our future Raiders. Additional information will be shared at a later date.
Sincerely,
Ms. Jennifer Rich
Elementary Principal
